Performances are located in the back of the Old Stone House in the brand new courtyard with state of the art soft Astroturf. Please feel free to bring a picnic or buy from our delicious concession stands.

 

 

2010 Auditions

Piper Theatre Productions is now accepting headshots and resumes for both 2010 mainstage productions. Piper produces free outdoor productions at Washington Park in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Piper works with an Equity Showcase contract. Every actor receives an honorarium of $250.00

The Nocturnes
by John Connelly
Directed by Nigel Williams

The world premiere of New York Times Best selling mystery writer’s book of short ghostly stories. Direct is looking for 4 adult men (mid 20’s – mid 40’s) and 4 adult women (mid 20’s – mid 40’s). Actors should be athletic, comfortable with devising an original piece of theatre, and comfortable with physically lifting each other. Actors with strong movement skills encouraged. Nocturnes performs July 10–25 and rehearses DAYS and weekends starting June 13 during the day.

The Book of Liz
by Amy and David Sedaris
Directed by David A. Miller

Director looking for 6–8 comedic high energy actors to play a variety of characters including Reverant Tollhouse, Sister Elizabeth Dunderstock, Brother Brightbee, and Sister Constance. All actors play multiple comic characters that range in age from early 30s to 50s. The Book of Liz performs July 10-25, rehearses evenings and weekends starting June 13.

 

All ethnicities encouraged to audition.

Piper is also seeking actors who can teach special classes to our workshop students (aged 11-16) on voice, movement, improvisation, theatre sports, stage combat, and clowning. Piper teachers work Mon-Fri / July 5-30 / 1:00-2:30 / 15 students per class and receive an honorarium of $1200.

Auditions begin on Friday, April 30.

Sister Elizabeth Donderstock despite a liftime burden of heavy perspiration, must leave the comforts of her rigid Amisheque home of Squeemish and take a journey outside to an Oz like world of Ukrainian refugees with cockney accents, gay recovering alcoholic waiters, and employment at Pilgrim themed restaurants. The "Talent Family" supplies another distaft and hilarious comedy.
