Acting Submissions for Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Piper is accepting Acting Submissions for this summer’s Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
Piper Theatre Productions, founded in 1999, presents annual Equity Showcase main stage productions with a focus on musical theater. Recent shows include Xanadu, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Sweeney Todd, and Psycho Beach Party. Free performances take place outdoors at the Old Stone House & Washington Park, 4th Avenue & 3rd Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
This year we will be presenting, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, by writers Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott, with classic songs “It’s Raining Men,” “Go West,” “ I Love the Nightlife” and “True Colors.” Piper is seeking multi-cultural, multi-generational, multi-talented artists to join our Main Stage company. We encourage performers of all identities to audition.
Piper Theatre Productions provides a supportive platform for theater artists, grounded in theater education. In addition to our Main Stage productions, more than 200 students ages 7-17 participate in our July youth theater programs.
