Marcy Richardson

Marcy Richardson* (Ensemble, Sweeney Todd) Hailed by the New York Times for her “clear, pealing voice” (Musica Nuova-The Arianna Project) and Opera News for her “best all-around performance” (Princeton Festival-Ariodante), soprano Marcy Richardson has performed with the New Composers Alliance Summer Festival, New York Festival of Song (NEXT-New Songs Series), Baltimore Opera, Central City Opera, Opera Vivente, Toledo Opera, Opera Columbus, St. Petersburg Opera, Vertical Player Repertory, OperaMission, Orlando Opera, Lyrique-en-Mer in Belle-Île, France, the Lucerne Festival, MidAmerica Productions at Avery Fisher and Alice Tully Hall, and has won awards from the Kurt Weill Foundation, Gerda Lissner Foundation, and the Metropolitan Opera National Council. She is originally from Grosse Pointe, MI and graduated with her Master’s in Voice from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Also a trained aerialist, she performs in Lyra at Duane Park and is the 2014 Pole Sport Organization National Level 4 Championship Winner.
