Matei Vișniec is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning absurdist playwright, and we are thrilled to be playing a role in introducing him to American audiences. Produced by Piper Theatre Productions, directed byJ.k. Musser, starring Aaron Novak and Vasile Flutur (who is also one of the translators), this show is great sampler for the author’s massive body of work.

Vișniec describes his plays as “theatrical modules,” fragments of a shattered mirror. His challenge is to reconstruct the fragments and produce an original image, as a reflection of humanity’s imperfection in an age of absurdity, bureaucracy, and technology. That, and whole lot of crazy ridiculous fun!

Strictly limited engagement before the team heads off to perform the show in Romania! Only two New York performances at the Romanian Cultural Institute. (Runtime – 1h15min without intermission)

Post-show wine and snacks!
