Now in its fourth year, the Musicals Now residency program presents a new musical premiere every June. Most recently, Piper provided free tickets to DOE grade schools, benefiting nearly 600 students.

A NEW musical by Dionne McClain-Freeney. Winner of our our 2024 Musicals Now Development Grant. In this brand-new musical, Dionne McClaine-Freeney masterfully unravels the tapestry of gentrification in Park Slope during the 1960s and 1970s. Dionne will preview New Songs and scenes from her emerging musical in anticipation for a full Spotlight reading this Fall. Join us as the boundaries of sanity blur, and the quest for connection takes center stage in a play that transcends the ordinary, inviting audiences to a fantastical and emotionally resonant experience.
